With festive preparations well under way maintenance is not always up there on the list of things to do. So not entirely festive and not an exhaustive list but here is a quick check list:
- remember to clear outside drains of leaves & debris
- leave the heating on low if you are going away to prevent pipe bursts
- avoid putting food, fats and oils down the kitchen sink
- only flush loo paper everything else should go in the bin including wrapping paper
- leave a spare key with someone just in case
- switch off tree lights when no one is home or before you go to bed
- check smoke & CO2 alarms work
- call main suppliers for no power or mains water, burst pipes, or if you smell gas
And do not let pets steal the turkey or veggie option on the big day!
